We've compiled a series of frequently asked questions. Click on any section to clarify any questions.

You can purchase your ticket at the park entrance, paying only in cash.

We're working on new digital solutions; in the meantime, our team can assist you at the box office.

Remember that your ticket only includes admission to Parque El Picacho. It does not include access to the Rosy Walther Zoo or the Cristo de El Picacho Monument, as both are managed by independent institutions.

Tickets

  • You can buy your ticket at the park entrance.

    If you're visiting us with a large group (schools, private events), you can arrange your group ticket purchase by contacting our WhatsApp team by text message at 8965-2742.

  • Your ticket purchase can only be made in cash.

  • Discounts apply according to the Comprehensive Law for the Protection of Older Adults and Retirees.

    Visitors age 60 and older can enjoy discounted ticket prices.

  • The forest and visitor areas in Parque El Picacho are protected by park rangers, assisted by and in collaboration with the Tourist Police, the Military Police to maintain public order, and the Honduran Armed Forces to prevent deforestation.

  • Parque El Picacho abre todos los días del año de lunes a domingo, incluyendo feriados y días festivos.

Events

  • When you purchase your tickets for Parque El Picacho, you can use the kiosks located in our family areas at no additional cost.

    If you'd like to reserve chairs and tables, you can do so by contacting us on WhatsApp.

    ​

    We have created a dedicated events section on our website.

  • Event areas fill up quickly.

    If you already have a date for your event, we recommend making your reservation as soon as possible.

    On average, our visitors book 1 to 2 months in advance.

    For example, if you already have a date for your Christmas gathering (in 6 months) or wedding, you can start reserving your venue now.

  • You can rent our semi-private spaces (which share play areas, but are away from the family areas), or one of our private spaces.

    Reservations are only made by text message to our WhatsApp.

    To rent venues, chairs, tables and tablecloths for your celebration, contact us by WhatsApp message at +504 8965-2742, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm

    No administrative procedures will be carried out on Saturdays and Sundays.

Schools

    Parque El Picacho has been managed by the Fundación de Parques Nacionales since 1993.

    ​

    Park entrance ticket prices are categorized by age.

  • You can manage ticket purchases via WhatsApp at +504 8965-2742. In this case, you'll be able to receive an invoice with RTN, but individual tickets will not be issued for each visitor.

    If you wish to purchase tickets by bank transfer, you must contact the Administration 48 hours prior to your visit to coordinate the purchase process.

    Contact the Administration by sending a WhatsApp message to +504 8965-2742, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    No administrative procedures will be carried out on Saturdays and Sundays.

  • Of course! We have kiosks in the park that you can use, as long as they're not being used by other visitors. Remember, since Parque El Picacho is a national park, please dispose of all trash and waste in the receptacles located throughout the park.

We always ask if you can bring your own food or if there are restaurants in the park. We invite you to explore the restaurant section on our website.

Meals

  • If you can bring your own food and water.

    The consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.

  • Within Parque El Picacho you can enjoy meals in six different locations.

    We have compiled your data in a dedicated section on our website.

  • If you'd like to come and have a barbecue, you can use the kiosks in our family areas.

    They have grills, and you can use them at no additional cost to your ticket. However, kiosks are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved.

Pets are welcome at Parque El Picacho.

You must follow the pet visitation rules to ensure that your visit and that of all visitors is enjoyable.

Mascotas

  • Pets are welcome at Parque El Picacho.

    Your pet must wear an identification collar.

    Your pet must be on a leash and accompanied by an adult at all times.

    Pick up your pet's waste in a plastic bag and place it in the trash.

    We reserve the right of admission.

  • You do not have to pay additional amounts for your visit with pets.

    Remember to follow the pet visiting regulations.

At Parque El Picacho, reforestation and conservation efforts are carried out through agreements with groups (businesses, non-profit organizations, churches, schools or colleges, and community groups of 15 or more people) who wish to commit for three-year periods to reforest and conserve the areas designated for reforestation and conservation within our forest.

  • Reforestation activities involve not only planting trees, but also caring for them at an early age to ensure optimal growth.
